Gaia Platter, Mahogany
Hand-shaped with steady care and fired with patience, the Gaia Platter reflects the slow honesty of craft. Each one tells its own quiet story through its subtle glaze, gentle slope, and hand-shaped edge. More than a serving piece, it becomes part of the moment, whether that’s a meal among many or a single still object on the table.
Gaia ceramics are shaped by hand, glazed with our proprietary reactive formulas, and fired at high temperatures using traditional methods passed down for centuries in India’s “Ceramic City” of Khurja. This artisanal process draws out rich, organic variation, especially in the Mahogany and Celadon colorways, making each piece beautifully unique.
While we thoughtfully remove items that fall far outside our intended shade range, natural variation in color, tone, and texture is expected and celebrated. These shifts aren’t flaws- they’re a testament to the raw materials, small-batch firing, and generational craftsmanship behind every bowl and platter.
We encourage customers to embrace Gaia’s distinctive character as part of its grounded, one-of-a-kind charm.
